Location. The Citizen Hotel is located across the street from City Hall and Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento, Calif. The hotel is three blocks from the downtown plaza. The California State Capitol is four blocks away. The hotel is five blocks from the Sacramento Convention Center.
Hotel Features. The 14 story Citizen Hotel features a classic exterior and a red hued lobby designed with vaulted ceilings and an Italian marble staircase with hand crafted railings. Adjacent to the lobby is the Grange Restaurant, which includes a two story wine tower. The mezzanine bar, Scandal, presents live DJ music. The 3,000 square foot tented roof deck offers views of the capitol. The business center is equipped with PC and Mac computers. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. The hotel boasts 10,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom spaces. A fitness center is located on site.
Guestrooms. The Citizen Hotel's 198 guestrooms include fat screen televisions, iPod docking stations and CD players. Beds feature Italian down duvets with 300 thread count sheets and pillow selections. Bathrobes are included. Rooms feature minibars. In room safes are laptop compatible.
Expert Tip. As an added touch, Citizen Hotel guestrooms include framed prints of political cartoons by the late Newton Pratt, who was an editorial cartoonist for the Sacramento Bee for more than 30 years.
